Apples and Horses and Hens, Oh My!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year.  Why?  So many reasons.  For starters, living in New England makes it very easy to love the autumn season.  The bugs disappear, the quiet settles in, my schedule becomes less chaotic, the smells coming from the dying leaves are actually soothing,  and, last but certainly not least, the magnificent beauty of the colors.  Every color imaginable!  And with those colors the light of day is more golden because the angle of the sun has change dramatically.  This is the season where magic can be seen in everything.  Winter, too, but that holds a different story, one we are fast approaching!
I'll let the following images tell the story of autumn.

In the Hen House

This will be the first post of many to come about my animals (and sometimes other peoples animals) and the simplicity of my life along the coast of Maine.  I've decided that pictures can say a thousand words, plus inspire your own interpretations.  With that said, I will leave you with a handful of images on a weekly basis, maybe a few words, but mostly this space is for your visual senses.

And, for those of you who simply must have a print of one (or more) of these photos to hang on your wall,  you can shop at my Etsy Store!  If what you see here isn't in my store and you'd like a print, let me know and I'll add it for you.  Thank you for visiting!  Do come back often, relax and enjoy these little snippets of farm life.
