As you probably guessed, I am a photographer! I live in one of the most beautiful states just ten minutes from a very charming town in Midcoast Maine. I absolutely adore photographing children and animals! I am also hired to shoot weddings, events and high school seniors. My busy season for photographing people is primarily during the summer and fall months. Interspersed within those months, as well as during spring and winter, I like to let my creative juices flow. Since I have a small farm, it makes sense to create with them as my subjects. After all, they are more than willing to let me lay on my belly in the pasture with my camera pressed against my face! This blog is for the animals in my life, but if you're curious about my human photo sessions, go ahead and click on the link below!
My Portfolio
I love all animals and over five years ago I decided to purchase a dozen baby chicks from the feed store. I've always leaned towards natural everything and whenever I get an animal that I've never had before, I do as much research as possible. Long story short, I only have one hen that remains from my first flock, and she only layed eggs for 2 years. Those girls just weren't thriving, and I didn't know why.
It took nearly 5 years to get up my nerve to try it again, but this time I found a wealth of information that I wish I knew about the first time around. The 10 pullets I have now are amazingly healthy, beautiful and I have no doubt in my mind that they will not only thrive for a good long time, but they will be happy every step of the way. Click the following link, where everything you will need to know about raising healthy chickens and ducks will be at your fingertips! Thank you Lisa!!
